Mary D. Bloemker, known to many as "MaryB.", passed away on September 19, 2009, following the latest in a series of strokes. Mary is survived by five sisters and a brother, numerous nieces and nephews, two Feline Overlords (her term for her beloved cats), and a lot of friends in and outside of fandom. She will be deeply missed.

• I was born in Philadelphia, PA;
• I grew up in Middle River, MD (Baltimore County);
• I attended Our Lady Queen of Peace parochial school (grades 1-8);
• I spent 9th grade at Sligo Jr. High School (Silver Spring, MD) and graduated from Wheaton High School (Wheaton, MD);
• I lived in East Boston, MA from 1976 to 1991 and among other jobs, worked in technical support for Pilot Software;
• And attended courses at Northeastern University;
• I now live in Birmingham, AL and work for Regions Bank as a systems programmer;
• I'm a science fiction fan, a  Star Trek fan from waaaay back, if I weren't working with computers for a living, I'd be working with them for fun anyway, I'm currently working on the Bloemker/McDonnell family tree, and I dabble in various craft hobbies, notably scrapbooking, machine embroidery and dollhouse miniatures.
